Steve Pope Barbel Fishing

Catch more barbel!

Mid August Update

Seeing as I’m late with an update and looking ahead I’ve very little time to spare online I thought it would be ok to cheat just a little with this piece!

Over the next few weeks I’m on the middle Severn, the lower Severn, the Kennet andĀ the Wye on guiding days, auction days and magazineĀ feature days, I can’t ever remember being this busy on the fishing front.

I’ll also be at the Evesham Festival and then there is a trip down to London when I’ll be visiting the Olympic Park for the paralympic games.

I’m not looking for any sympathy, it’s a good life and I know it!

Anyway I’ve written quite a bit lately, my fishing exploits are well documented in the Fishing Magic Diaries, my regular feature together with a report will be in the next Barbel Fisher and I’m busy on a chapter for the upcoming Barbel Society book, and there is a CAT article to write as well.

So this update is in the vein of every picture tells a story, a visual journey through the last month or so and words that may not have covered the subjects to follow, especially an indepth look at the River Wye.

Hope you enjoy……
